Awarded New Jersey State-Wide
School Fleet Management Contract

The New Jersey Department of Human Services has awarded a three year contract to Arcola Sales & Service Corp. of Carlstadt, NJ to maintain its fleet of 175 school vehicles located at 21 sites throughout the State. Andy Rolfe, President of Arcola Sales & Service Corp. explained "that his company, which has focused on the distribution of school and commercial buses in New Jersey and metro New York for the past 15 years, decided to expand its service and parts operations."

Arcola also has a contract with N.J. Transit to provide full maintenance and repair of commercial mini-buses in one of its operations.

Arcola has acquired state-of-the-art computer software to enable it to monitor and schedule PM services and provide the agencies with comprehensive reports and cost analyses. Several other agencies have already expressed interest in this service. In addition to its own 8 bay garage, the company has established a network of 50 other service sites throughout the State where work will be performed.

Arcola has promoted Ed Simpson to manage this operation. Mr. Simpson had previously managed operations for Coach USA, Gray Line New York, Laidlaw Transit and Enterprise Transit Corp.

Arcola Bus Sales Announces Extension of New Jersey State School Bus Contract through January 23, 2005 January 5, 2004

Carlstadt, New Jersey, December 3, 2003. Andrew Rolfe, President of Arcola Sales & Service Corp. has announced that at the request of the State of New Jersey; General Motors, Collins Bus Corporation, and Arcola Bus Sales have agreed to extend the New Jersey State School Bus Contract with no price increase through January 23, 2005.

All school districts, quasi-state agencies, political subdivisions and independent institutions of higher education in the State are entitled to purchase these vehicles without having to solicit bids themselves.

There are three contracts for Collins Bus Corporation Grand Bantam school buses built on a Chevrolet 159" wheelbase chassis: 15 passenger buses, 20 passenger buses and lift equipped buses which can accommodate from 5 wheelchair + 3 ambulatory students to 14 ambulatory. The buses are classified by the State as Type-B because they are over 12,000 pound GVWR. Descriptions of each of the school buses and the complete notice of award can be located at:

Arcola Bus Sales Announces Award of N.J. State Contract for Shuttle/Paratransit Mini-buses February 17, 2004

Carlstadt, New Jersey, January 4, 2004. Andrew Rolfe, President of Arcola Sales & Service Corp. has announced that, for the first time ever, the State of New Jersey has awarded a contract for Shuttle / Paratransit Mini-buses on cutaway chassis.

All Municipalities, Counties, State & County Colleges, State Agencies and Quasi-State Agencies are entitled to purchase these vehicles without having to solicit bids themselves.

The vehicles include flexible seating, so they are ideal for virtually any application. They can accommodate anywhere from 1 wheelchair with 20 ambulatory passengers, all the way to 5 wheelchairs with 8 ambulatory passengers.
