Environmentally Friendly Bus Arrives Collegiate School - NY
February 18, 2010
The Class of 2009’s senior gift was a new, more environmentally friendly bus to replace our old vehicle. The new hybrid bus nearly doubles the miles per gallon of the old one and offers many other features, including enough head room to stand tall, seat belts, full roll-over cage, safety back-up camera, GPS, and a special steel frame to protect the gas tank. In addition to providing transport for field trips around the city, the bus will be used to take sports teams to tournaments and meets.
This very generous gift allows Collegiate to reduce its environmental footprint while also providing a safer and more comfortable ride for their boys. Collegiate is very grateful to the parents of the Class of 2009 for their generosity and wishes also to thank Michael Fisch P’09, ’12, chairman of the Senior Class Gift Committee.
